James Gaston is Associate Professor of History and Humanities and Catholic Culture at Franciscan University. He is the Founding Director of the Humanities and Catholic Culture major, an intensive integrated Catholic Liberal Arts program of study. Professor Gaston has written widely on such subjects as Christopher Dawson, the nature of education and the Liberal Arts, and the geographical and cultural regional unity of The Upper Ohio Valley.
